Wholeness in Motion • Patterns of Nature and Working with Babette
Basics
Wholeness in Motion, a Somatic Movement Wholeness Approach, helps people who are struggling in some aspect of their life (e.g., physical pain, fear, decreased agility, stress, lethargy) to find a way out of the struggle and gain more clarity and choice for themselves. Patterns of Nature as a part of Wholeness in Motion locates personal work in the context of Nature and shared patterns of life. The Wholeness lens offers a way through struggle that leaves you feeling more whole within yourself and the world. Generally, this is individual work.
Wholeness in Motion is also used with leaders, particularly educators, to learn to include the whole person in the world as part of Nature in their teaching approach, curriculum planning, and goals. How do you lead so the student/participant: has a voice, learns to learn on their own, is empowered and curious about their expressive artistry, listens to their own signals to guide their well-being in the pursuit of learning? How to you lead so the work you do is consistent with a Wholeness worldview? How do you develop and affirm multiple ways of knowing in contexts that mostly validate empirical, reductionist science and intellectual, externally sourced knowledge? How do translate cognitive ideas into experiential, discovery rooted activities?
The on-going Wholeness 2025 2 day a week Wholeness in Motion practice offers a spiral dance of movement, science, poetry, mythology, improvisation, meditation and mystery to savor and meet the foundational health and beauty of essential your cosmic being in steady rhythm and heartful community. This is an effortless way to anchor to joy in turbulent times.

Deeper
Wholeness in Motion helps you connect to your underlying ease and power, to the health and wholeness that IS there in you below any brokenness, below suffering, even if the cause is years or generations ago.
If I was working with you with a struggle, a symptom, pain, anxiety, we would start with: "Wow, isn't it already a miracle that you're able to detect that you don't like this symptom?" Your system is already pointing the way. We work with the brilliance of your system to help you figure out how you navigate the world so that your system bubbles up with more and more joy and pleasure and less and less of the strains and pains.
Wholeness isn't about fixing. It's more about seeing, revealing the beauty of the way your system works. When you can understand your sensations, when you can understand what's going on using this wholeness perspective, you discover that built into your system, there are many ways of making choices. You aren't a broken being who needs to be fixed. It's even more delightful, I'll tell you, than "Oh, fix me". It's amazing to fully be underneath "I'm not even broken".
By exploring the exquisite details of your nature, and Nature's patterns: fluidity in the landscape and the fluidity in your joints, the trajectory of a shooting star and the trajectory of your life, the waves on the shore and the waves of joy and sorrow, you deepen your wholeness with the world. You come home to your being as part of nature. You mend an ancient rift. You dismantle internalized division.
Participant's one word feelings in and from Wholeness in Motion and work with Babette: "joyful, home, safe, content. growing, thriving. brave, liberating, rich, sensual, satisfied, intriguing, laughing, opening, bountiful, nourishing, expansive, restorative, whole."
Join us in the life-giving exploration and celebration of our foundational wholeness, our messy, full selves in and of the messy, wild, bountiful universe.
